Roger Wheeler is President of Retail Business Services, the services company of Ahold Delhaize USA. Serving a portfolio of local grocery brands including Stop & Shop, Food Lion, GIANT/MARTIN’S, Hannaford, Giant Food and Peapod, which collectively span 23 U.S. states, operate more than 2,000 stores and have some of the most extensive supply chain operations on the East Coast, Retail Business Services leverages scale to drive synergies and provides innovative solutions, as well as industry-leading expertise, insights and analytics to local brands to support their strategies. Wheeler oversees a diverse array of functions, including commercial services and strategy, store operations support, information technology, financial services, legal services, real estate and people systems and services.
Wheeler has an extensive background in the grocery retail industry, with more than 20 years of experience in retail operations, category management, supply chain and project management. Most recently, he served as the U.S. lead in the merger between Ahold USA and Delhaize America.
Prior to that, he held several leadership roles with Stop & Shop and the former Ahold USA company, including Senior Vice President of Supply Chain and Vice President of Meat and Seafood. Before joining Ahold USA, Wheeler worked for Shaw’s supermarkets in numerous
roles including Vice President, Store Manager, Buyer and Category Manager for several nonperishable and perishable areas.
Roger holds a B.S. in systems engineering from West Point and an MBA from Bentley University. Roger is a veteran of the United States Army and served in the Persian Gulf War.
Roger lives is Foxboro, Mass., with his wife Donna and two children Megan and Michael.
Chris Lewis is Executive Vice President of Supply Chain for Retail Business Services, the services company of Ahold Delhaize USA. Serving a portfolio of local grocery brands including Food Lion, Giant Food, GIANT/MARTIN’S, Hannaford, Peapod and Stop & Shop, which collectively span 23 U.S. states and operate more than 2,000 stores, Retail Business Services leverages scale to drive synergies and provides innovative solutions, as well as industry-leading expertise, insights and analytics to local brands to support their strategies. Lewis oversees all supply chain services Retail Business Services provides to the local brands of Ahold Delhaize USA, which operate some of the most extensive supply chain operations on the East Coast, including more than 1,000 trucks that travel more than 100 million miles annually and deliver over 1 billion cases to local brand stores. Lewis is responsible for supply chain strategy, distribution, transportation, third party contracts, logistics, demand management and supply chain continuous improvement.
Prior to taking on this role, he was Senior Vice President of Supply Chain for Delhaize America, where he oversaw the company’s distribution centers, transportation, logistics and demand management teams. Lewis played an integral role in merging the Ahold USA and Delhaize America supply chains into an integrated supply chain supporting the local brands of Ahold Delhaize USA. An experienced integration leader, Lewis also led the work to merge the supply chain operations for Hannaford and Food Lion, and while serving in an IT role, helped to form Delhaize America’s first shared service IT organization.
With a 30-year tenure with Ahold Delhaize USA companies, Lewis began his career in distribution at Hannaford, was selected as the first distribution leadership trainee, and went on to serve in numerous roles including Retail Operations Director, Vice President of IT Architecture, Vice President of Applications and SVP of Supply Chain.
Lewis attended the University of Southern Maine, focusing on leadership and organizational development. He lives in York Beach, Maine, with his wife, Nicole, and their three children. Outside of the office, he enjoys traveling, anything on the ocean and following the kids’ many sports and activities.
Rom Kosla is the Executive Vice President of Information Technology (IT) and Chief Information Officer (CIO) for Retail Business Services, the services company of Ahold Delhaize USA. Serving a portfolio of five East Coast grocery brands, including Food Lion, The GIANT Company, Giant Food, Hannaford and Stop & Shop, Retail Business Services leverages scale to drive synergies and provides innovative solutions, as well as industry-leading expertise, insights and analytics to local brands to support their strategies. Kosla oversees all aspects of IT for the U.S. businesses, with a specific focus on delivering common systems and innovation that create digitally enabled experiences and support the omnichannel ambitions of Ahold Delhaize USA's local brands.
With more than 25 years of global IT experience – from development and applications to infrastructure and e-commerce – Kosla joined Retail Business Services from PepsiCo, where he most recently served as Senior Vice President and CIO of Corporate and Enterprise Solutions. In this position, Kosla was responsible for all enterprise-wide applications, digital sales and mobile solutions platforms, as well as application security and enterprise-wide development and operations globally. In his 14 years with PepsiCo, he was instrumental in its SAP journey, including managing multiple platforms across different parts of the business. Prior to joining PepsiCo, he had more than 12 years of experience in IT at both Nestle and Deloitte.
Kosla has an MBA from the University of Illinois at Champagne-Urbana and a bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Cleveland State University in Ohio. His work philosophy is to "maintain the highest integrity in everything you do."
Kosla is based in Boston, where he lives with wife, Jennifer, their daughter, Emma, and their son, Alex. Outside work, he enjoys spending time with family, focusing on health and fitness, and traveling. He was born in the Philippines and has lived in five different countries.
