Michael Murphy, Specialist Investigator for Retail Business Services – the services company of Ahold Delhaize USA – is a finalist for Loss Prevention Magazine’s The Hall Loss Prevention Investigator of the Year Award, and you can vote to help him win! 

Held annually, The Hall awards celebrate the loss prevention industry, honoring achievements and excellence. The Investigator of the Year Award is given to a loss prevention professional who is recognized for the quality and execution of their overall performance and for their consistency in being resourceful.  

As an Investigator Specialist, Michael supports Ahold Delhaize USA’s local brands by training retail associates to recognize organized retail crime, and recently helped close out several high-dollar cases in the New York region. Most recently, he helped close out a credit card and fencing case totaling more than $18,000 in loss. His partnership with N.Y. State Police during this investigation led to the arrest of three individuals, a $20,000 cash seizure, and the recovery of stolen weapons, multiple stolen credit cards and thousands of dollars of product from a fence location.  

“His swift response to the case, unbelievable partnership with store leadership and his ability to work with local police was amazing to watch, resulting in the case being closed so quickly,” his nominator wrote. “He provides an outstanding example for living the values of an investigator and our company by demonstrating care, humor, and integrity.”
