Retail Business Services Announces Retirement of Paul Scorza, Executive Vice President & Chief Information Officer
Scorza to Retire at Year End; Search for New CIO Underway
QUINCY, MASS.– Retail Business Services, the services company of Ahold Delhaize USA, today announced the retirement of Paul Scorza, Executive Vice President and Chief Information Officer, after more than seven years of dedicated service. Scorza will retire at year-end and remain with the company in an advisory capacity to ensure a seamless transition with his replacement.
"Paul has been an excellent leader in the information and technology space for our organization, and we're extremely appreciative of his many successes," said Roger Wheeler, President of Retail Business Services. "Under his leadership, Paul helped ensure the successful merger of Ahold and Delhaize and stood up the IT organization supporting all of the U.S. brands under Retail Business Services. He has also pioneered new technologies to better serve customers from "Scan & Go" frictionless checkout to piloting a new frictionless store. We thank Paul for his dedicated service and wish him all the best during retirement." Scorza has been with Ahold Delhaize USA companies since 2013. A search for Scorza's successor is underway.
