Retail Business Services Names Roger Wheeler President
Retail Business Services LLC, an independent Ahold Delhaize USA company, today announced the appointment of Roger Wheeler as President. Retail Business Services, LLC provides support services to the local brands of Ahold Delhaize USA.
Wheeler has an extensive background in the grocery retail industry with more than 20 years of experience in retail operations, category management, supply chain and project management. During the merger of the parent companies of Ahold USA and Delhaize America, Roger served as U.S. lead for the Integration Management Office. Prior to that, he held several roles with Stop & Shop and Ahold USA, including Senior Vice President of Supply Chain and Third-Party Management, Oracle Program Leader and Vice President of Meat and Seafood. Before joining Ahold USA, Wheeler worked for Shaw’s supermarkets in numerous roles including Vice President, Store Manager, Buyer and Category Manager for several nonperishable and perishable areas.
Retail Business Services, LLC, is a new company created by Ahold Delhaize USA, provides cost-effective, best-in-class support services to the local brands. Retail Business Services LLC is comprised of associates in various support groups within the organization and is a key service provider for the brands. In this new role, Wheeler will report to Kevin Holt, CEO, Ahold Delhaize USA.
“With Roger’s extensive background, familiarity with Ahold Delhaize USA businesses and demonstrated leadership of the U.S. Integration Management Office, we are confident Roger is the right person to lead this new organization,” said Holt.
Wheeler holds a B.S. in systems engineering from West Point and an MBA from Bentley University, with a concentration in finance. Wheeler is also a veteran of the United States Army and served in the Persian Gulf War.
