Retail Business Services – the services company of Ahold Delhaize USA – is pleased to welcome two new members to its IT leadership team. Deepesh Bhandari joins Retail Business Services as VP, Cloud Platform and IT Infrastructure, and Arjun Namasivayam joins as VP, Office of the CIO.

Deepesh Bhandari

Deepesh will oversee the engineering, implementation and operation of all technology infrastructure deployed at customer support centers, distribution centers, e-commerce sites and retail stores.

Ensuring the availability, integrity and security for all IT systems and infrastructure, Deepesh will develop IT strategy and deliver cost-effective and reliable solutions to our brand business partners and their customers. His responsibilities span the data center; network and server services; telephony; service monitoring; user support and help desk; workstation management; servers; storage; and related software.

Deepesh joins Retail Business Services from McKesson, where he served as VP of IT, responsible for developing the IT infrastructure services and operations strategy and driving operations excellence across the enterprise and workforce in the U.S., Canada and Europe. He led the Global IT Operations team to deliver operations stability and safeguarded data across the healthcare services powerhouse. 

Earlier in his career, Deepesh was at PepsiCo, where he led the Global Network Services and Operations team, supporting manufacturing and supply chain logistics. Before this, he held senior technology leadership roles of increasing responsibility at JCPenney, Dean Foods, FedEx and Affiliated Computer Services (ACS), a Xerox company. Deepesh has an extensive infrastructure services and operations background and has successfully led many high-profile global transformation programs within healthcare, manufacturing, e-commerce, retail, supply chain logistics and managed infrastructure services. 

Deepesh has a master’s degree in Telecommunications Science from Southern Methodist University and a bachelor’s degree in IT Management from Christian Brothers University In his free time, Deepesh enjoys spending time with family, traveling and cheering for the Dallas Cowboys.

Arjun Namasivayam

Arjun will develop the shared IT vision, driving the strategy, governance and processes across the Ahold Delhaize USA portfolio in the areas of IT performance monitoring and management, project and portfolio management, vendor/supplier management and procurement management. Working in close collaboration with Financial Management and Workforce Management teams, he will ensure that the value and role of IT is appropriately positioned across the organization.

Arjun joins Retail Business Services from PepsiCo, where he served more than 10 years and held a variety of progressive roles across IT security, application development and delivery, and infrastructure and operations. Most recently, he held the role of Senior Director of Global Cloud Office with responsibility for accelerating cloud adoption and building capabilities to enable enterprise-wide strategic digital transformations.

Prior to this, Arjun held roles of increasing responsibility across Europe, Asia and Africa, including Senior Manager of Global SAP Operations, Director of Enterprise Application Planning and Delivery, and Director of Infrastructure Delivery for the Americas. He also led various global strategic IT infrastructure modernization programs. He additionally worked with Deloitte & Touché on security and privacy initiatives at various fast-moving consumer goods companies.

Arjun graduated from Purdue University with a bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering. In his free time, he enjoys traveling, scuba diving and swimming.
