Roger Wheeler is President of Retail Business Services, the services company of Ahold Delhaize USA. Serving a portfolio of local grocery brands including Stop & Shop, Food Lion, GIANT/MARTIN’S, Hannaford, Giant Food and Peapod, which collectively span 23 U.S. states, operate more than 2,000 stores and have some of the most extensive supply chain operations on the East Coast, Retail Business Services leverages scale to drive synergies and provides innovative solutions, as well as industry-leading expertise, insights and analytics to local brands to support their strategies. Wheeler oversees a diverse array of functions, including commercial services and strategy, store operations support, information technology, financial services, legal services, real estate and people systems and services.

Wheeler has an extensive background in the grocery retail industry, with more than 20 years of experience in retail operations, category management, supply chain and project management. Most recently, he served as the U.S. lead in the merger between Ahold USA and Delhaize America.

Prior to that, he held several leadership roles with Stop & Shop and the former Ahold USA company, including Senior Vice President of Supply Chain and Vice President of Meat and Seafood. Before joining Ahold USA, Wheeler worked for Shaw’s supermarkets in numerous

roles including Vice President, Store Manager, Buyer and Category Manager for several nonperishable and perishable areas.

Roger holds a B.S. in systems engineering from West Point and an MBA from Bentley University. Roger is a veteran of the United States Army and served in the Persian Gulf War.

Roger lives is Foxboro, Mass., with his wife Donna and two children Megan and Michael.
